Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited and inaugurated Vantara, an animal rescue, conservation and rehabilitation centre located in the Jamnagar district of Gujarat, on Tuesday. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani, their son Anant Ambani and daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant were also present at the inauguration.
The facility is 3000 acres and houses more than 150,000 rescued animals across 2,000 species. The aim is to provide world-class veterinary care and to make a safe environment for endangered and rehabilitated wildlife.

Vantara’s speciality
Vantara is equipped with a state-of-the-art wildlife hospital and has facilities of ICUs, MRI, CT scans. It also has specialized departments including Nephrology, Wildlife Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Endoscopy and Cardiology.
