Fans go crazy with joy after ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ becomes reality as RCB wins IPL 2025!
Fans across India erupted in joy after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally lifted the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 trophy after an 18-year wait. Nearly two decades of heartbreak, near-misses and the dreaded “ee sala cup namde (This year the cup is ours)” memes, RCB defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
RCB, led by Rajat Patidar, put up a strong performance, posting 190/9 in 20 overs after being sent in to bat. Virat Kohli played a crucial role, scoring 43 off 35 balls, while Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone provided late fireworks. Punjab Kings, despite a valiant effort, fell short by 6 runs, handing RCB their long-awaited trophy.

The big concern in the minds of fans will be the weather at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Qualifier 2, held at the same stadium just two days ago, was delayed by over 2 hours due to rain. Rain is also on the forecast today.
But for now, NDTV has learnt there is NO rain in Ahmedabad. However, the covers have still been kept on the ground.
