A police officer sustained injuries after being struck by an object allegedly thrown by an opposition supporter near the Colombo court premises this afternoon. The incident occurred as supporters gathered outside the court during proceedings related to former President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s case.

Outside the court complex, opposition supporters launched protests chanting slogans such as “Anura go home,” calling for the Government to step down. The demonstration drew the participation of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, who joined protesters voicing anger against the Government.
