Sri Lanka Police says Police officers have the power to arrest individuals wearing helmets if they are unable to verify their identity.

Issuing a notice, the Police said officers are permitted to inspect persons behaving in a suspicious manner while wearing helmets.

Requesting the individuals to cooperate during inspections, the Police said officers are vested with the power to arrest those who fail to do so.
