Eid celebrations around the world!

Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid al-Fitr, one of the biggest celebrations in the Islamic calendar.

Eid al-Fitr – which means “festival of the breaking of the fast” – is celebrated at the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting for many adults, as well as spiritual reflection and prayer.

History of Eid Al Fitr

Eid Ul Fitr is considered as one of the most important festivals in Islam to adhere to the principles and these principle includes – fasting, faith, zakat, the Hajj pilgrimage, and namaz-giving. Eid is believed to have been celebrated for the first time in 624 AD. After a month of fasting, the end of Ramadan is a time to honor self-control, commitment, and spiritual development. People show their gratitude to Allah for his favours and and seek forgiveness for all the mistakes they have made knowingly or unknowingly. Muslims ensure that everyone can participate in the festivities so they get involved in charity and donation before Eid, which is known as Zakat. Communities and families gather to celebrate, pray, and share happiness.
