Colombo – Jaffna train services to resume tomorrow!

Following the modernisation of the Maho-Anuradhapura stretch of the northern railway line, train services between Colombo and Kankesanthurai will resume tomorrow, October 28, the Sri Lanka Railway Department said.

The first train will depart from the Colombo Fort railway station at 5.45 am for  Kankesanthurai via Anuradnapura and Jaffna and the next train will be at 1.45 pm.

The Railways Department requests the public to be cautious when using level crossings since trains will start running on the northern track from October 28.

A Colombo-bound train will leave the Anuradhapura Railway Station at 5.30 am. Besides, another Colombo bound train will leave Kankesanthurai at 10.30 am.
