The Sri Lanka Air Force has refuted claims that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake used a helicopter for his visit to Kandy on September 23, 2024.

The President made the trip to meet the Malwatu and Asgiri Mahanayake Theros after offering worship at the Sri Dalada Maligawa.

According to the Presidential Security Division, the President traveled by road, accompanied by a Defender vehicle as part of his security convoy.
