Heart Aerospace, a Swedish hybrid-electric aircraft manufacturer, plans to conduct the inaugural flight of its all-electric demonstrator, the Heart X1, in 2025 at Plattsburgh International Airport in New York. This test flight marks a significant step toward developing its 30-seat regional airliner, the ES-30, aimed at advancing sustainable aviation.
The Heart X1 will be the largest all-electric aircraft to date, featuring a zero-emission range of 200 kilometers and an extended hybrid range of 400 kilometers.
This experimental flight will validate the company’s proprietary electric propulsion technology. Plattsburgh International Airport was chosen due to its robust infrastructure and low air traffic density.
“We are impressed by the leadership shown by New York’s North Country region in the support of next-generation airplanes,” said Anders Forslund, Co-Founder and CEO, Heart Aerospace.
